What a perfect way to wrap up 2020! I had the absolute pleasure of capturing Cody and Bryce's beautiful wedding day, and I truly loved every single moment. Their day was filled with love, laughter, and so much style. From start to finish, their celebration was nothing short of magical, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Swan River and the elegant Matilda Bay.

Cody and her bridesmaids looked absolutely stunning in their navy gowns, while Bryce and his groomsmen were sharp and sophisticated in black suits with bow ties. And let’s not forget the sweet flower girl—she stole the show as she made her way down the aisle with rose petals, wearing a straw hat. It was such an adorable moment!

A Beautiful Swan River Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony took place on the banks of the picturesque Swan River, providing an absolutely stunning setting. Cody and Bryce exchanged their heartfelt vows, with the beautiful river and surrounding nature as the perfect backdrop. The ceremony was officiated by Liz Underdown, who brought a personal and warm touch, making the vows even more meaningful. It was one of those moments that perfectly captured the love and joy that these two share.

I’ve had the privilege of capturing weddings at a variety of scenic locations, but there’s something truly magical about weddings by the Swan River—especially when combined with such a beautiful couple.

Wedding Party Photos at UWA: Architecture and Greenery Combined

After the ceremony, we headed to the University of Western Australia (UWA) for the wedding party photos. UWA’s mix of stunning architecture and lush greenery made for the perfect backdrop for these shots. The university’s heritage buildings and expansive lawns gave a timeless quality to the photos, highlighting the elegance of Cody, Bryce, and their bridal party.

The wedding party was an absolute joy to work with, and we had so much fun capturing candid moments, as well as those perfectly posed shots in front of some of the most beautiful spots at UWA.

Reception at Matilda Bay: A Night of Class and Fun

The reception took place upstairs at Matilda Bay, offering sweeping views of the Swan River and the Perth skyline—a truly stunning venue for an unforgettable celebration. DJ Adam from Perth Wedding DJ did a fantastic job of announcing the bridal party into the Roe Room, setting the tone for a night full of laughter and dancing. His energy and music selection kept everyone engaged and dancing all night long.

The speeches were a beautiful mix of heartfelt and hilarious, giving everyone a chance to reflect on the couple’s journey while also sharing a good laugh. After the speeches, the newlyweds hit the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife. To add a fun touch, the guests were handed scorecards to rate the couple’s dancing skills, which added a playful vibe to the evening!
