UWA AND AMBROSE ESTATE WEDDING

Such a classy affair! Sophie & Ross’s spring wedding day started off with more than a little wind & rain but we were so incredibly lucky that by the afternoon the skies had cleared and we were able to capture all of their wedding photos without so much as a drop of rain. I had previously captured Ross’s cousin Sam & his beautiful bride Tarryn’s wedding about 18 months ago, so it was great to see them also!

The day commenced at the Chapel of St Marks at Hale School in Wembley where all of Sophie & Ross’s family & friends had gathered to watch them say their vows and share in this very special occasion. Ross & his groomsmen waited at the alter looking very sharp wearing black bow ties, with Ross in a white suit jacket and the groomsmen in black. Sophie arrived outside the Chapel looking absolutely stunning in a gorgeous sleeveless gown complete with tiara & pearl earrings on her dad’s arm. Her lovely bridemaids followed in a beautiful shade of crimson red with bouquets filled with an array of proteas, wildflowers & green foliage….so pretty! I loved the moment that Sophie & Ross locked eyes on each other as she made her way down the aisle, there was definitely a tear in Ross’s eye. After saying their vows and being announced ‘Mr & Mrs’ by Rev Eleanor O’Donnell we made our way to the sunken gardens at UWA to capture some bridal party photos around the reflection pond and iconic archways. With both Sophie & Ross being alumni of UWA, it made the location that bit more meaningful for them. The bridal crew looked a millions bucks and were a genuinely great bunch who were a pleasure to photograph.

Just as a light sprinkle of rain started we were on our way to Ambrose Estate ready for the bridal party to make their entrance into the reception. What followed was wonderfully funny & heartfelt speeches, amazing food and a fabulous first dance by the newlyweds. As I left, the dance floor was full and the celebrations were in full swing.
