Vibrant Swan River Wedding at Nedlands Yacht Club & UWA
COLOURFUL FLORALS, GELATO & A SAXAPHONE PERFORMANCE BY THE GROOM
Caitlin and Alex’s wedding day was truly something special! It was one of those celebrations where every detail felt personal and meaningful, making it an absolute joy to photograph. From sweet moments to a lively dance floor, this wedding had it all: gelato, confetti, stunning florals, Irish folk songs, and even a bunny called Snoopy!
A Day Full of Heartfelt Moments and Personal Touches
Caitlin and Alex's wedding was overflowing with love, laughter, and beautiful memories with the vibe being stylish yet relaxed. Caitlin looked stunning as she walked down the aisle with her parents to Coldplay’s “Us Against The World”. It was an incredibly touching moment, made even more special by her choice to wear her grandmother’s ring and cherished wedding dress. It was a beautiful nod to family heritage and showed how much love and thought went into the day.
The ceremony took place with the picturesque Swan River as the backdrop. Celebrant Dawn Nosworthy led the couple through their vows, which were truly beautiful. One touching detail was the pen they used to sign the marriage documents—was a gift from Alex’s grandmother. After the signing, Caitlin & Alex with their parents lit a candle signifying the joining of the couple and their families. It’s little touches like these that make a wedding so personal and memorable.
Confetti, Family Photos, and Beautiful Wedding Party Shots
After sealing their promises with a kiss, Caitlin and Alex walked back down the aisle through a burst of confetti—a joyful and colorful celebration of their new life together! It was such a fun moment to capture, and the smiles on their faces were priceless. We then took some lovely family photos and captured some gorgeous shots of the wedding party around the architecture and lush gardens at UWA. The whole bridal crew looked amazing, and were such a great bunch.
Waterfront Sperry Tent Reception
The celebration continued at the Nedlands Yacht Club, where a beautiful Sperry Tent was set up for the reception. Right from the start, the atmosphere was fabulous. Caitlin and Alex made a grand entrance with an epic Irish-style walk-in to “Tell Me Ma”—it was lively, full of spirit, and definitely got the party started!
Two of the most memorable moments of the night was their first dance to “Sky Full of Stars”. They nailed their choreographed dance, complete with dramatic lifts and dips and it was clear just how much they loved sharing that special dance. The other was when Alex surprised his guests, pulling out his saxaphone and entertaining everyone with a performance.
Sweet Treats and Sentimental Moments
Guests were in for a treat with an outdoor gelato cart, adding a delicious and refreshing touch to the evening. It’s little details like these that really made the day unique and enjoyable for everyone.
One particularly sentimental moment that stood out was when Caitlin and Alex tucked away letters from their parents into a keepsake box. These heartfelt notes are to be opened on their anniversary—a beautiful tradition that speaks to the importance of family and love.
Why This Wedding Was So Special
What really made Caitlin and Alex’s wedding day remarkable was how they made it their own.
